So I guess it does snow and get cold in Minnesota in the Winter.  I guess we can't complain - a dusting of snow and temps still above 0 aren't too bad.  But I was getting used to seeing brown instead of white and not having to wear gloves.

Weekends are for cleaning, at least in our house.  With the busy-ness of the week, it tends to all really fall to the weekend.  Knowing that unless I ask my husband to help, he doesn't usually participate, I asked him to help and he did (although I'm sure he could have thought of many other things to do!).  The great thing about when Andy helps clean is that he is a very thorough cleaner - and he finds things to clean/fix that I don't normally 'see'.  Like today he chose to vacuum, but then ended up fixing an electrical outlet, completely cleaning a leather chair from top to bottom, and re-caulking around the kitchen sink.  And I only asked for vacuuming.  :)

We had a nice time this afternoon meeting Andy's brother John and sister-in-law Melissa for drinks and dinner in Milaca.  They were in the area looking at potential property to buy, so we met them to catch up since we haven't seen them since Thanksgiving.  We had some good laughs about many things - but the most interesting thing I think is how similar Andy and John are and how we can all relate to each other and the goings-on of our daily lives.  Definitely need to get together more often as we had a great time.

Emma helped me give Cooper a 'peanut butter' haircut tonight.  Basically whenever I give Cooper a hair cut of any sort, it is impossible to get him to stand or sit still.  The only thing that seems to work is a spoonful of peanut butter.  So Emma is in charge of holding the spoon as I quickly cut where I can.  No, it isn't perfect, but I took off quite a bit of hair and some matted pieces too - which was my goal.  Beats paying $70 for a groomer to do it.

We ended the night watching some silly shark attack movie on Netflix tonight.  Something Emma picked out - as it was right up her alley (sharks + scariness).  Essentially it was a bad attempt at something similar to Jaws, so nothing I'd recommend.  But it was enjoyable just sitting on the couch with the fireplace burning and dog on lap with Andy and Emma enjoying their movie.  Nice Saturday night.
