Crazy day at work today - we were planning to end our 25% off sale last night, but due to our system issues, it got extended until midnight tonight. So another busy, busy day on our websites - which is good, but also frustrating for people that can't get their orders placed. Hopefully this huge sale was all worth it to everyone and that we get caught up the rest of the week. I'm sure we'll be dealing with fall-out for quite a while based on the huge volumes of orders. Poor Andy is working his late shift tonight - I'm guessing I won't see him home for quite a while.
I'm such a sewing novice. I sure wish I knew more - as Emma is really getting into this new hobby. So tonight she wanted to go to Wal-mart and check out their stock of sewing stuff - since it is close and cheap. So we did - and we bought backing for her quilt and batting and a few other things to finish that off (God help us!). And then she also bought a clearance 5 yds of some cute flowy pink material for $3 total (sounds like a good deal?). And then she wanted to buy a skirt pattern and other fabric, but I had to put a hold on; one thing at a time I think. It all scares me. I should have listened better to my Home-Ec teacher Mrs. Barrett when she taught us how to sew in 7th grade.
Once in a while I share here about awesome products that I love...and this one is one that I've grown up with, as my mom always used it. It is Lestoil cleaner. If you ever have ANY stain whatsoever on your clothes - even the worst set-in grease stain, this stuff can get it out. It is a miracle cleaner. There is no need to buy any stain sticks or sprays or anything else to 'pre-treat' stains. Just pour some of this on your clothing stain, rub it in a bit, let it sit for a while and then throw it in with your other laundry in the wash. The stains will come out - I guarantee it. Awesome stuff. If you can't find it at Target or Walmart - try your hardware store.
I'm excited to try a new recipe for Garlic Lime Chicken tomorrow night (I'll put in the link tomorrow if it is good). I have been 'pinning' tons of recipes to try on the Pinterest site and I need to start cooking. It seems with Andy working late Monday's and the rest of the week being busy, there tends to be only one or two nights during the week that I get to really cook a meal. Plus - if I don't plan ahead I end up throwing a pizza in the oven or making spaghetti or tacos. So tonight I planned ahead and I'm trying a new recipe - looking forward to seeing if it is any good.
Goodnight.
