Okay, so I must admit - as much as I dislike snow, when it was falling this afternoon it was kind of pretty. But that's the only positive comment I have about it, so I'll stop typing about that.
As much as yesterday was a productive day at work, today seemed very unproductive with lots of meetings and running around. I sometimes have meetings in our 'other building' so that takes about 10 minutes to get there and 10 minutes to get back (and it isn't so fun in the Winter). Plus I had to leave early for dentist appointments, so it unfortunately was not a productive day.
Yes, Emma and I had our bi-yearly dentist appointment for cleaning and x-rays. Emma has only 4 'baby' teeth left (molars) to lose - and to-date she has had no cavities. She must get her teeth genes from her father, thank goodness. I, on the other hand, get told as per normal that I need another crown at some point. Eventually all of my teeth will be fake (okay - that's extreme) - but I have already had four crowns and I know there are a few more that will eventually need one. I refuse to do no more than one per year though. Maybe I'll 'spring for one' this Summer. Fun huh?
I tried another new recipe for dinner tonight - a Broccoli Cheese Soup from Pioneer Woman, which was perfect for a snowy cold evening. I don't think I have ever made a completely homemade broccoli cheese soup, ever. Emma reminded me of that since this is her favorite kind of soup. I'm not sure why I haven't before since this was really easy and tasted wonderful. Definitely in my keeper soup recipe file now.
One of my longtime co-worker and friend has her last day at CM on Friday. I've worked with her for 13 years - and have sat at a desk next to her for many of those years. It is bittersweet as I am happy that she has found a new opportunity, but also sad that I won't get to see her on a daily basis. We are having a happy hour for her tomorrow night - and I'm sure we'll shed a few tears in the process. Thus is change.
That's all for tonight. Goodnight.
