January 25, 2012

Andy and I are watching the finale of Top Chef right now.  Getting down to the final 5 chefs tonight.  So exciting!

So the good news is that my back is actually finally feeling better tonight.  Thank goodness because those pain meds really mess me up.  I took one before bed last night and then didn't feel good for a while as I tried to fall asleep - my stomach was feeling yucky.  Then I woke up in the middle of the night in pain again - so I took another one.  The pain subsided but when I was at work this morning I started to feel dizzy and nauseous again.  I made it through fine, but I haven't taken another pill since.  It is kind of sad when you have to pick between dealing with pain vs. dealing with side effects of drugs.  Just very happy that tonight I'm feeling better all around.

Emma loves to bake - and she has been (brown nosing) to her teachers by bringing them their favorite cookies.  Oh well - whatever works I guess.  She also has another science project due Friday for a visual replica of bacteria.  Since she went with a cake last time, for the cell project, this time she is making frosted sugar cookies decorated with bacteria (i.e. different kinds of candy/frosting representing the different bacteria shapes).  Probably the yummiest bacteria her class will ever eat I presume.

I happened to be reading the St. Cloud Times website tonight, which I do on occasion at night to catch up on the news of the day.  I pull up the site and in bold title it states that our CFO has been let go and is done at the end of the month.  I find it odd that the employees find out about this via the local newspaper before we are informed at work.  Hmmm.  Very odd.

That's about all I know for tonight.  Goodnight and may we all have a wonderful night of sleep.
